Amir Khan vs. Chris Algieri Preview, Tale of the Tape, Prediction
With the WBC Silver welterweight title on the line, Amir Khan will face Chris Algieri tonight on Spike TV at 9 pm ET. Khan has a professional record of 30-3 with 19 knockouts, while Chris Algieri will enter the square circle at 20-1 with eight knockouts. Algieri is coming off a unanimous decision loss against Manny Pacquiao, while Amir “King Khan is entering the bout winner of his last four, including the unanimous decision against Devon Alexander. Both fighters will try to look impressive tonight, especially Amir Khan who must look good tonight to warrant a fight with Floyd Money Mayweather.

Look for Khan to use his experience and fast hands in the ring to pull out the decision late. Algieri does not have great punching power to put Khan’s questionable chin to test, so he’s going have to use his conditioning in this match if he stands a chance to pull out the upset against Khan tonight. This fight will go the distance unless Chris can land some good combinations by using his great footwork to catch Khan sleeping to possibly land a knockout. I just don’t see Algieri with that type of punching power landing volume power shots to cause even a knock down. Algieri will try to out box Khan with counter punches, but Khan speed is just too fast for this match, so he will win by a large margin in 12.
