Bobby Portis, 2015 SEC Player of the Year

The Southeastern Conference announced its 2015 All-Sec rewards Tuesday night.  6″11 Arkansas Sophomore forward Bobby Portis earned SEC Player of the year over Kentucky’s all around player Willie Cauley-Stein.  Portis led Arkansas to a 24-7 overall record, 13-5 in the SEC.  Bobby Portis averaged 17.8 points, along with 8.7 rebounds in 29.5 minutes of play for the Razorbacks.

John Calipari was named 2015 SEC Coach of the year.  Calipari was very skilful this season managing the egos of one of the most talented teams in the history of Kentucky’s program were his team won 31 straight wins for the first time in the schools’ storied history.
