Class 2016: Lone Peak’s Frank Jackson

The Latter-Day Saints Class of 2016 prospect Frank Jackson probably wont step on to a college campus until the year 2018.  The five-star 6’3 point guard out of Utah’s Lone Peak will take a two year mission straight out of high-school due to his LDS faith.  The list of schools after the talented prospect are Arizona, BYU, Duke, Embry-Riddle, Maryland, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Stanford, UCLA and Utah.  Each of these schools have agreed to allow Jackson to enter college in the year 2018, although he is a 2016 recruit.

“I bring it up to them and they all say that that’s fine,” Jackson said of his two-year mission plan. “All of them have agreed to let me go on a mission and come back to play in 2018.”

Jackson shows the ability to get to the rim and finish, but also can knock down the jumper with consistency if you give him too much space.  Frank Jackson is sneaky athletic as well, which allows him to be strong once he gets in the lane with the trees.  He’s a play-maker who is not afraid of contact.  Jackson can score at all three levels.  He has a three-point shot, a mid-level game and he can get to the rim.  He will make any team better next year if he played, but with the two-year mission after high-school, makes this heady guard dangerous in 2018 as a college freshman.  Check out his highlights courtesy of courtside films below.
