Danny Garcia vs. Paul Malignaggi: Preview, Tale of Tape, Prediction
From the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, NY, Welterweight contenders Danny Garcia and Paul Malignaggi will box on ESPN August 1, 2015 as a part of the Premier Boxing Champions. The fight will be broadcast on ESPN at 9 pm ET. Danny Garcia is 30-0 with 17 of those bouts by way of knockout. Garcia the champion of the W.B.C. & W.B.A is coming off a close fight back in April of 2015 against Lamont Peterson, while Malignaggi is 33-6 coming into next week’s contest off a year lay-off after being defeated by Showtime Shawn Porter. Who will win this match-up between the undefeated Danny “Swift” Garcia and Paulie “The Magic Man” Malignaggi. This should be an interesting matchup between the two Welterweights. The Official Weigh-In is open to the public and will take place at the Daily News Plaza at the Barclays Center on Friday, July 31st. Tune in or get your tickets here.
Look for Danny Garcia to make a statement in this fight. He’s coming off an unimpressive performance and with the layoff from Paulie Malignaggi this will be an easy fight for the young welterweight champion. Malignaggi will try to win this fight in a decision by trying to outbox Garcia. Danny will look to use his punching power and knockout percentage of over 50 percent to end the fight early in his 5th fight at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. This is an easy fight to call, as I see Garcia knocking out Paul Malignaggi before the 6th round. Prediction is Garcia by knockout in the 5th. The question is, who will Garcia fight next?
