Louisville: Butler Bears 26, Doss Dragons 20 |Gallery
Two non-conference opponents from District 3 and District 4 met in the Analyzed Sports KHSAA High School Football game of the week. It would be the Butler Bears (2-3) coming away with the victory over the home team Doss Dragons (1-3) at Hayward Shartzer Memorial Stadium on a beautiful clear sky Friday night. Both teams would go into the half with the score knotted up at 12 points a piece. The 3rd Quarter would be a defensive struggle between the Bears and the Dragons as both teams would fail to score during this period. The score remained 12-12 with a little over 6 mins remaining in the game until the TD Run by the Bears QB Jamal Britt and 2 point conversion, made the score 20-12 Bears. Doss would go 3 and out on its next possession, setting up another scoring drive for Butler, this time to Chris Ramsey in the corner of the endzone making the score 26-12 with a little over 3 mins remaining in the game. Dragons WR Amari Robertson would score late and Doss converted the 2 point conversion with 42 seconds remaining in the game to pull the score within six 26-20 This would setup an onside kick, but Doss would be unable to recover sealing the 26-20 victory for the Butler Bears. Butler has an away game next with one of the best teams in the state Louisville Male, while the Dragons will take on Atherton in an homecoming game next week.
