2014 Mr. Kentucky Basketball went out to Louisville Ballard’s Quentin Snider. He deserved it and it’s something I know he and his family is proud of. I remember watching Q when he was a kid and seeing the hard work he and his Dad Scott put in Gyms across Louisville, and on the AAU circuit. I also remember trying to keep a young 13-year-old Q in a work basketball league full of grown men out of the lane.  His Dad and I was a little more even match-up. Lol.  He’s a special talent from the City of Louisville. Quentin is a true 6’1 point guard with a jump shot. He has above average vision, and he attacks the middle of the lane like all the greats do. Quentin has the chance to go down as one of the cities favorites such as Ali, Rondo, Wheat, and Griffith.  Although I am a true Cats fan, I wish Q nothing but the best at the University of Louisville.  Q broke Allan Houston’s scoring record and Mark Bell assists record at Ballard this season.  Although the state championship is a tough pill to swallow, there is still work left to do before he steps foot on U of L’s campus.  He and the rest of the Kentucky All Stars must end this drought of losing to the Indiana All Stars.  I’m tired of them bringing their people down here talking trash and then blowing our Kentucky squads out. End the drought for me Q.

Congrats to Quentin Snider from Analyzed Sports.
