The Louisville Male Bulldogs got revenge from a 2nd Round 38-31 playoff loss a year ago to the Trinity Shamrocks defeating them by a final score of 20-19 at Maxwell Stadium in Louisville, KY last night (Nov. 20, 2015). Devin Gentry battled cramps , but was able to rush for 110 yards on the night and score a Touch Down to keep his team alive for the 6A State championship. The Bulldogs will travel to Central Hardin to take on the Bruins in a semifinal game with the winner going to Western Kentucky to play for the 6A State Championship. Z. Smith scored the other two touchdowns for Male, while Jack Kuerzi led the way on defense for the Bulldogs with an interception, fumble recovery, and multiple tackles on the field. Trinity got great play from Jailen Reed and Rodjay Burns who caught a tough pass in the endzone to give the Shamrocks a chance to tie the score at 20. Trinity lined up for a two point conversion, but saw something and called timeout. The Shamrocks failed to convert the extra point after the Time Out which led to the Final Score of 20-19. It was a great high-school football game to witness in person. Great game from both teams.
